Who's going to Pettigrew this weekend
1st in my class "D"...19 overall..I think I saw about 50 on the sheet.
Lots of DNF's..Ambrose will tell you, the last lap got real ugly. They were still pulling people out an hour after the race ended.
Had a good time though..time for a break now..I've got some work to do on my ride!
Congratulations. Correct me if I am wrong but I beleive that is your first 1st place trophy.

A friend that went told me it was hard and had a big hill climb

Im going to stick with D till next year 2011 or they move me up. Last weekend I went to Kerby and was practicing on the little loop we carved out. Its a 1.4 mile loop and I did 9 laps as fast as I could with out stoping only stalled the bike 2 time and hit 1 tree coming out of a corner. It knocked the wind out of me but I keep up me speed. IT WAS A BLAST ! my wife was out there with me Im going to try to get her to start racing soon :)
Miles: They did have a nasty hill that turned real ugly on that last lap, left lots of riders stranded..almost me.
Hey give me a break that was only my 3rd HS in 5yrs..but I did sign up for C vet starting the new year. :)

Don't listen to Butler he sandbags every time he races at Riverfront.
I can vouch for Chris, had he gone this year he was going to go in the A class. I think it was so he could get to the mud hole first and stay in it longer.
Oh yeah Miles, as far as getting your wife involved in your riding, think of it this way: When you are home part of the enjoyment of going to the bathroom to leave a deposit is that you can go alone. No hassles. I'm not sayin, I'm just sayin.
My wife raced for years. She raced the 2 hour hare scrambles and enduros. When she first started riding HS I could sometimes lap her twice in a race. The last year she rode HS she finished 3rd overall in C-200 racing the boys. I was lucky if I could catch her once before the end of the race. I would tell her on the way to the races, "now when I come around you you ride a wide bike for the next half a lap to give me a little breathing room." She wouldn't do it. I think she tried harder to get off the trail when those chasing me came up to her just so they wouldn't say she was doing exactly what I was encouraging.
After talking with Farrell I've signed up for the 10' season in the new Sportsman class. My AP may move me out of this, but having only raced 2 races last year, he recommended I start there. So now they have the Beginner, Sportsman, then C Vet.
Who know, they may move me back down to the beginner! :D
