Zac's thread on fixing his head pipe got me to thinking. I bet you guys have lots of good tips pertaining to motorcycles. Post them here. I will start it off. I think I got this one from Tom F. If you are tired of getting black mold growing in your camelbak bladder keep it in the freezer when you are not using it. Just rinse it out after use, roll it up and throw it in the freezer. It will be clean and fresh every time.

he told us the other day during our ride break regarding the zipties around your tire when you have a flat is ingenious, a real head banger.

Just wrap zipties around the four quadrants of your flat tire and head out. If you added four more in between the four quadrants it might allow you to ride the rest of the day. No need for CO2 or slime which sure lightens the load in the fender bag.

Great tip Zac...

With all our recent rain, here is a little something I've been doing.

I use the cheapest non stick cooking spray they make and spray it under my fenders, inside shrouds..wherever I want mud to fall off easier. Works pretty dang good. I stay away from the butter flavored stuff, don't want to smell like a bag of popcorn flying thru the woods! :D

Note we also use this on our show heifers right before they go in the ring to give them some wonderful sheen! Just in cae anyone here does any cattle showing as well.

Literally

When changing bearings wheel/swingarm/linkage/steering stem put the bearing/race in the freezer for one hour. Before you beat the old bearing/race out(we all dont have a fancy press)heat your hub/swingarm/linkage/steering stem SLIGHTLY and the bearing/race will just about fall out.

When you are ready to put the bearing/race in reheat the hub/swingarm/linkage/steering stem SLIGHTLY and the bearing/race will go in much easier.

DISCLAIMER I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR OVERHEATING OF ANY PARTS IF YOU DO NOT KNOW WHAT SLIGHTLY IS DO NOT ATTEMPT

can come in real handy. I always found this to be a very cool use, you never know when it might come in handy.

disclaimer: It will not work on tube type tires. This should only be attempted with adult supervision so you have someone to drive you to the hospital.

I know this is not a motorcyle tip but you might break a tire bead on your truck while hauling your bike to the ride area.

Anytime I would remove my rear tire the first thing I would do was to loosen the chain adjusters. Then after I replaced the tire I would have to spend 15 minutes getting the chain adjusted right. If don't want to mess with your chain adjustment I figured out you can remove the axle nut and tap the axle through about an inch then shove the tire forward and you can eaisly remove the chain with out messing up your chain adjustment.
