Only get a GPR if you get a smoken deal the Scotts is way better.

Look on ebay

BLYOTH (not verified)

I had several scotts and decided to try the GPR for a change. I prefer the scotts. Besides Lloyd can work on the scotts. GPR won't sell any internal parts so you have to send it to them for repair or rebuild.

Scotts is the better choice for most people. It has the most adjustments of any of them. Both are good units, Scotts is better in my opinion. There will be some who would argue though. Every part is available from Scotts as Chris mentioned. If you buy used make sure it does NOT have an R stamped on the top cover. That is the road version. On the off road damper the stabilizer only dampens going away from center, free wheels back to center. The road version "R" dampens in both directions.

It is all about adjustability dude! I know, you say that it won't matter - now, but after you get the unit mounted and ride several times with one, you will see what I am talking about. Scott has a mulitple adjustments for the riding type and situation. Stiffer for rocks root snad such and loosen up for the tight stuff. They both do about the same for straight line stability, but change and the difference is apparent. Go Scott's: adjustibility, rebuildibility, and overall quality. Sounds like an advertisement. . .
And we don't like folks to ride at the Ross without one!!!!
