Arkansas Dirt Riders – June Minutes 06/02/09
Bruce Yother opened the meeting at 7pm on 06/02/09.
In the President’s minute, Bruce discussed the T-shirt situation. Bruce gave us the up date on the T-shirts for the enduro. He had a sample on hand for the club to see. It looked very nice. He suggested that we wait until after the enduro to order worker shirts. The check captains needed to keep track of his workers for that order list. That was approved by the club. Bruce gave the club a Ronnie Tanner injury update.
VP Minute – Lynn had nothing to offer.
Sec minute – Jim passed around several copies of the minutes from May. They were also available online. They were approved. He also distributed some copies of the phone list.
Tres. Minute – Steve gave the modified financial report. We had $16,123 in the bank. Report was approved by vote.
Ref Minute – Tom had nothing to offer.
New Members: Bill Settle was voted in as club member.
Visitors: Zack and Shawn McKinney. Robin Johnson- that would be Dan’s wife.
Ride/Race Reports: Lynn reported that it was a “mud” run in Vicksburg, MS. He and Tom Steele had attended that event.
The Hardwood Enduro was held and James Belk (2nd - due to no computer)and Lloyd Loux (crash left him with a bad wrist) attended.
New Business: Train Robber’s Enduro. Jim went over some last minute logistical stuff. He discussed the check crew captains and pre-run and sweeping responsibilities. We had to reroute some areas and finish arrowing. Talked about arrowing to the camp ground, pot-o-potties and check crew meeting Saturday Night. Visited about the meals, responsibilities of some folks. Steve discussed the kids race for Saturday and what needed to be accomplished for that to happen and when the signup was to occur. We are to have a Friday night fish fry that can be attended by all club members. Raymond is to put this together as he did last year! Saturday night’s dinner for the check crew meeting is for all club members and workers. Dinner at 6pm and meeting at 7pm.
Unfinished Business: Steve updated the club on the remaining graphics for the trailer.
The Club Ride for June will be the Enduro. . .
The club voted James Belk the “pink shirt” award for the month of June.
The meeting was adjourned at 8:30pm.
