Are you interested in becoming an Arkansas Dirt Rider?

We are an off-road motorcycle club. We have members interested in most forms of off-road motorcycling. To become a member you must attend at least two club functions before being voted in. We ask that one of those functions be club meeting the other could be anything we do as a club such as a club ride or trail maintenace day, ect. Tell us who you are.

We meet once a month on the FIRST TUESDAY OF THE MONTH AT 7:00 PM. Current meeting place is at American Pie Pizza in Maumelle. Just come on in and head to the "meeting room" with the big screen.

Hi guys-
Andrew here. Thanks for letting me sit in on the meeting tonight. Nice to have met you all, and I look forward to getting to know yall better. I hope to have a good enough grasp on riding to join the club ride on the weekend of the 26th. If anyone out Maumelle way feels like going back to square one with a FNG send me a PM. I have so much to learn!

Hi Andrew,
I'll be happy to ride with you; and promise not to make it too hard on you.

That is one of the neat things about TrainRobbers Trail. There is riding there for all skill levels, and it's easy to move from section to section to find the trails that you are comfortable with. It's also easy to quickly get off trails that you find are not to your liking.

Make sure to come out and ride with us on the weekend of the Breezy Hills Dirt Riders outing at Ross; Oct 8, 9, 10, & 11. There will be riders off all skill levels ready to go.

Happy Trails!

Thanks again for your hospitality. I haven't gotten much further than Conway at this point, but I'm sorry I missed you guys this weekend at New Blaine. Had to work today, though. Right now it's looking like I'll have to work on the 10th, too, but maybe I can swap around, or just meet you guys out there on Sunday.

Jim, if you know of a place a little more local, in the meantime, I'd enjoy following you around and trying to glean a few pointers. I've found a small network of trails out here by the swamp, but I bet learning from someone else's experience could reduce the learning curve a little.

Hey guys..just a quick introduction: I live in Batesville with wifey and 3 kiddos. Engineer for TWH Enterprises.

I ran a harescramble a few years ago in Sturkie, since then I've hit the MX track a few times in Heber. I mostly go ride at Hwy 89 when I'm not riding the track and trails at my own home. I plan to get back into the harescramble scene with the first one for me being the Thanksgiving weekend one at Riverfront Grand Prix. I just recently joined SingleTrackPlanet and have been a member of Thumpertalk and KTM talk for years.

Anyway..I'm long winded..I would love to get to a meeting and meet some of you and hopefully become a member one day.

Thanks
Zac

Batesville is a pretty good ways from us but we do have active members from as far away as Jonesboro. Hoepfully we will be able to get together some time and ride some trails.

Ya, I seem to be far away from everyone...Most everyone that I used to ride with only wants to sit on the couch or it's too muddy out for them :(

Please let me know when the next meeting comes up, hopefully I can make it!

Hi All, I live in north MS and I have ridden at the Ross property several times. The last time I was there I ran into one of your members and he told me that y'all offered an associate membership for people that lived far away. Is this true? If so, I would like to join. I like riding there ALOT and want to do what I can to ensure that we can keep riding there.
PS: I have already gotten my permit from the Ross Foundation.

Mark,
I'm not sure about the associate membership, I'll have to let a senior/veteran ADR member answer that. I'm sure no one would have a problem with you mailing your membership in and joining. I don't know if going to a meeting is a absolute requirement, working on trail when possible is probably more important. If no one else chimes in here about it, I'll direct our Pres. Sid to you.

We do have the National Enduro coming up in May..we need lots of help that day and the days/weeks/months leading up to it. Feel free to contact me via email and I can give you more detail.

Thanks
Zac

I believe that the rule is for a person to attend two club functions and then submit an application for membership, which will then be voted on at the next club meeting.
The two club functions can be work days or club rides, as well as club meetings.

If you can't make that meeting, then ask a club member to speak for you at the meeting.

Our Ross Property Trail Boss and Captain/organizer of the trail work in progress is Jim Holum ("Peoman" on this forum.) He can tell you when stuff is happening there.
We are having a Ross Trash Cleanup Day soon, you could get in on that.
Trail work is always going on at the Ross Property in advance of the enduro. (This is the only way to learn the trail, as it is constantly evolving as the Ross Foundation is continuously logging the land and the trail gets moved accordingly. Also, the Ross folks frequently adjust or modify the area that we are allowed to ride on, as their plans evolve. They use the ADR to implement those changes, so the only way to keep up to date on the trails is to be a part of that process.)

Also, the Bear Creek Hare Scramble next weekend (March 13). Bear Creek (Kirby Landing at Lake Greeson) is only 40 miles west of Bismarck (Ross Property). From Bismarck, look at the map west of Bismarck on hwy 84 to Kirby, and then 2 miles west of Kirby to the left, just off hwy 70. (Hwy 8 west from Arkadelphia, or Hwy 70 south out of Hot Springs, are the two best ways to get there from I-30 southwest of Little Rock. From the south, I take hwy 19 north from Prescott (on I-30) to Delight (home of Glen Campbell), and then take hwy 26 west to hwy 27, and then north to Kirby.

Come join us, and let us know that you are coming.

Good Riding!
Jim Cook

The associate membership frees you of attending meetings work days are still required. The calender shows the work days that are scheduled but do get moved from time to time. The upcoming Ross trash day would be a grate day ti start most of the club will be there and we will possibly do a little riding.Sunday we could get together and ride for sure.Traveling so fare to help one day of good riding is mandatory.
