Arkansas Dirt Riders May 06, 2008 Minutes

Bruce Yother opened the meeting at 7:05 pm
He declared that this and the June meeting were very important meetings.
VP minute: Lynn Burton had nothing to mention
Sec Minute: Jim deferred to later
Tres Report: Randy said that we had $15,930.36 in the bank as of this meeting.
Referee minute: Tom had nothing

Ride/race/new bike report:
The club ride didn’t have very many members show. Rode some of the enduro course and those that showed liked it a lot.
Leadbelt Enduro had 200 riders. Was an ok event.
Scipio Enduro had 140 riders. Was the best Scipio yet.
ARHMA event: Lynn said they had 68 riders
Steve Bond now owns a 1983 Honda CR500

Awards Discussion: A three tier level of awards was determined to be a fair way to award the membership. Those tiers are:
Level I Shirt
Level II HJC CLX-5 Helmet or Moose Hoodie jacket
Level III Helmet and shirt

Need to get the qualified members to fill out forms for sizes and choices as soon as possible. The awards are going to try to be delivered by the enduro.

A big and hearty thanks was given to Bobby Diffee for the work on the hare scramble, which was a success despite the water!

Lynn discussed the fact that the AMA documents are sent in. Work for the Dual sport was on hold until after the enduro.

Jim talked about the logistics of the enduro and the amount of work that needed to be completed within the next several weeks. Got an idea on the number of folks that desired to work a check. Mileage was given in an approximation. Locations of the checks was going to be determined the Memorial Day weekend. Discussed items that were needed from the trailer. Jim asked for the club to have cook out for the Memorial Day weekend and that was approved. Nothing else at this time.
