New tires

I bought me set of the new Dunlop 952's. They are supposed to hook up like the 756 but last longer in our rocks. I will let you know.

Dunlops

The 952's seem to be hooking up pretty good. Of course with as many bikes as I keep running I also need a tire that will last pretty well in the rocks that we ride in and for an IT they do pretty good. I did go back to the soft terrain 756 on the front. 756's are my favorite tire both front and back but they just won't hold up on the rear in rocks. The 756 fronts hold up pretty well.

tyres - 952's

Hated those tyres! Tired 'um, they just didn't seem to give me much confidence. A little on the unsettled feel and perhaps not sticking very well. I do have to say this, they lasted longer than the 756's. And that was not a good thing at the time as I wanted them off my scooter!

Try A Pirelli MT-16 on the rear

Anasazi- Try a Pirelli MT-16 on the rear. They get excellent traction new and keep good traction even when well worn down. The large deep knobs are not easily cut by rocks, yet hook up- even in sand. They come in good-old fashioned USA sizes... like 4.00X18 and 4.50X18. But don't use an MT-16 on the front. THAT tire gets traction nowhere but the garage.

Maxxis

Try the Maxxis Maxxcross SI front and rear. Several riders in BJEC are using them, myself among them. They hook up great and last. The Maxxcross IT lasts even longer on the rear, especially in rocks, I still like the SI on the front with the IT on the rear for certain events. The IT is not as good in the corners as the SI though. It will survive a 2 day at Scipio and still look decent.

works for me

I'm kinda liking the IT's too but those of you who've seen me ride know how much (little) that's worth. I'll have to look into the SI's next time.

Maxxis IT

I ended up getting the Maxxis IT and riding a few times before my little girl was born. I've been out a few times since then and I've really enjoyed them. They seem to be good tires and handle a lot better than the Dunlops I had that were pretty worn out. It's been hard to get out and do much with a little one to take care of.
