Arkansas Dirt Riders: April Minutes 04/10/08

Bruce Yother opened the meeting at 7pm.
Members and Guest list was past around for sign in – there were members and 1 guest in attendance.

President’s minute: Bruce thanked Bobby Diffee for the work put in at the Kirby Hare Scrambles. It was very successful regardless of the weather. Race day was great. If anyone knows where the blue bark buster guard is, let Bruce know.

Vice President’s minute: Lynn reported on last weekends ride @ Ross for the Vintage bikes. 6 ADR members, 2 Miss, 1 Calif. 1 Tex. 1-Ill. were in attendance. He reported it was good, even though it was wet, and that there were some folks there riding on Monday as well.

Secretary’s Minute: Jim reported that the hard copy of the minutes were available and would be for each future meeting.

Treasurer’s minute: Randy reported the following balance of $15,852 in the bank. $2,400 clear from the Hare Scrambles with $500 going to the EMT’s as a donation. Only one compliant registered.

Guests: Sterling Morton. 2nd meeting and he was voted into the club – approved.

Race/Ride Report: Bruce rode Kirby as did Jon Wright. Both had uneventful days and certainly not spectacular. Bobby D. said thanks to all that worked and made the event possible this year.
The White Rock Enduro was March 23rd. It was wet! None of the many ADR members that attended did well. Jim’s bike sucked – water that is!

Train Robber’s Enduro: There will be a Kids Enduro non-sanctioned on Saturday, June 7th and Steve Pierce will be in charge of that event. The vote was taken to have a Traditional type Enduro – passed. There will be work weekends planed from now until the race weekend.

Dual Sport: Nothing to report from Jerry as he has done nothing for the event yet. Lynn reported about the snow at Mt. Magazine during a exploratory ride.

New Biz: Membership awards to be decided upon by the next meeting by the Awards committee. The Awards committee will have the following to determine awardees: 2 tiered award. #1 ADR Hoodie, #2 ADR Helmet. The committee will have 3 or 4 criteria by which to make the membership determination for 2007. Every year thereafter, the committee will make the determination in the first quarter of that year if there is going to be awards for the previous year and who the members are that will receive them.

Club Ride: April 27 Sunday @ Ross – come and ride/work.
