Thats a good lookin scooter when are you going to get it all dirty.Do you remember how to use a clutch?
Nice! is that the stock seat??
I put 20 break in miles on it at HWY 89. I almost forgot how to use a clutch. The 250 likes a little clutch every now and then. No Bill that is an Enduro Engineering Tall/Soft seat. Hey Bill I bought a pipe guard that does not fit my bike but will fit yours. If you want it let me know I will let you or anyone else that may want it have it for 20 bucks. http://cyclehuttktm.com/FicheFinderNew/AddPartToCart.aspx?ProductID=8880
I thought the seat looked a little too comfy for stock.... :)
Thanks for the offer on the guard, I have never needed one though.
Now that you said that you are going to need one, so just go head and buy it.
Bruce How did it run, a JD jet kit will really make a difference. Are you going to get another rekluse or are you just going to suck it up and go "old school"and use a clutch.
I bought a JD kit for it. It ran pretty much spot on the other day with stock jetting. No hesitations and no bubbling on decel. Do you think I still should put the JD kit in it? I have not ridden it since I changed the exhaust. I am going to ride it for a little while without the rekluse. We will see how that goes.
I did the JD kit on the 450 that I thought ran good just had a little overheating. All I can say is holly crap this bad boy runs a lot better now.I still have a little bog so I contacted JD and it sounds like I need a smaller pilot jet.Holub put one on his 400 and was way surprised also.
Since you already have it I would put that bad boy in, it took longer to cut the air box than installing the kit.
Why did you have to cut up your air box? I am working this weekend but want to put down some mileage on the 250 next weekend. Can you ride Saturday?
On the Honda X's that is part of the CCC mods. Honda list modifications like cutting the airbox(most even come with lines cast into the airbox to cut),R model cam, different exhaust, backfire screen removal etc. to make the bike closed course competition legal only. Usually if you open up the intake you need to open up the exhaust to make significant changes.
With your new pipe, which I am sure flows more than the stocker, some tweaks in the jetting may be benificial.
Congrats are in order, hope you enjoy.
So what do you expect -- it is a KTM!
As the home boys would say, nice ride dude!!!
