What a wonderful Place We Have to Ride!

Every time I ride at the TrainRobbers Trail, I mentaly thank the Ross Foundation (and Jim Holub for his efforts in working with Ross) for our wonderful place to ride.

I used to think that Breezy Hills was my favorite place to ride, but really got discouraged after what the US Forestry Service did to us down there.
This is one of the principle reasons that I appreciate the relationship the ADR has with the Ross Foundation. We're dealing with Roy and the Ross Foundation, instead of the US Government. Common sense applies concerning the TrainRobbers Trail! (Yea!!!)

Lately, as the Breezy Hills Enduro Club has been rebuilding
their trail system, I've been riding down there a bit more. The trail is fun; really tight and twisty, and almost no rocks of any size. We now have 26 miles finished, and it is fun.
However, it has no "rollercoaster" sections, and no off-camber mountainside sections, and seems a bit tame compared to the TR, except for the woods being so tight and virginal.
I guess that I am getting "jaded" in my riding preferences. I still really like the Breezy Hills trails, but the excellent riding that we have at TrainRobbers just can't be beat.
Up there (down there for most of you), we have plenty of every sort of trail terrain imaginable, except for deep sand and sidehill "cliff drop-offs" trail; both of which I do not miss. I don't know of anyplace better to ride.
Also, I can take any level rider to TrainRobbers and have plenty of trail to show them a good ride.

I just don't understand why more people do not join the ADR, just to be able to ride "knowledgeably" at the TrainRobbers. Maybe we ought to put up a sign to tell visitors that can can find out complete trail etiquette and route guidelines by contacting the ADR, and then list our contact information.

I really appreciate everyone who has worked so hard to make the TR Trail the great place it is to ride, and keep it open for us to use.

A big "Attaboy(girl)!" to you all!

Sounds good...

Being a new member I had to be pretty motived to both purchase and learn to ride my new dirtbike as well as find and join a local club.

I think posting some informational signs at Ross would be a good thing.

Eventually someone other than the present members will need to look after, create, and be ambassadors for our trails and riding rights. Who will be next to ride? Where is the next generation of riders? Playing X-box?

Sorry Tony

We only invite current or prospective ADR members out to the property. We have spent countless hours building our trail system. We have club members that meet with the property owners frequently so we can know if there are any areas they do or do not want us to ride in. We have a certain direction we want the trails to be ridden in to prevent accidents. The only way to know what the property owners expect from us is to be an active club member. As Jim said we have a wonderful place to ride and we don't want to run a risk of damaging our realtionship with the property owners becuase someone is riding in an area that we are not supposed to be in. We are hosting a AMA Suzuki Dual Sport in the fall of 2008 in the Ozark National Forrest near Magazine Mtn. If you can make it look me up. I would like to meet you.
