Bismarck

Hello all. I am new to the forum so I apologize if this has been asked. I tried a search but nothing came up.

I live in El Dorado, AR and recently purchased dirt bikes for me and my oldest son (8 years old). I have a CRF250X and he has a CRF70. I am trying to locate areas to ride but am having difficulty. We have tried Superlift and that is a bit rough on the 8 year old. I have heard of a place around/near Bismarck, AR that has miles of trails. I also heard that the place is free. Is this the same place that sports the Train Robbers Enduro? I would love to find out directions to the place. Thanks in advance for the help.

Bismark riding area

luv2ride: I am glad to hear that you and your son have taken up off road riding. A great way to spend time with your son by the way. As far as where to ride, the area you mentioned is a timber management property that is privately owned and operated that has allowed the Arkansas Dirt Riders to build and maintain a trail system there. When you say free, there is nothing free in this world! If you happen upon an ADR member thatyou say that to, they likely would be offended. We have put a lot of blood, sweat, and tears into that trail system. The people that have allowed ADR to do that have a great relationship with us and we try our best to provide a safe place to ride, maintain the integrity of the property and always abide by the rules the property owners ask of us. We are alwys hesitate about telling someone about this 'free' place to ride for the reasons I just mentioned. They do not always want to abide by those guidelines. ADR has consented to living by the rules and order the property owners laid down 8 years ago. We provide them with a certificate of insurance protecting them from liability from the membership - not folks outside the club. Now if you wanted to become a member of ADR, we would certainly welcome you to the club. Meeting are the first Tuesday of each month in Maumelle or attend two(2) club functions and ask for membership. Several members outside central Arkansas do the later. Benefits you might ask: directions to the property and trail system, club events, club promoted events and certainly maintaining "your" riding area. The trails are usually ran a certain direction and for us just to allow someone access to the property without that knowledge might ask for an accident. That would be the last thing we would to happen and thus far we have had none. By the way, the property owners want us to maintain this sort of relationship and if you ride a bike on the property they prefer you to be an ADR member. If you are interested in becoming a club member, contact one of the officers and they would direct you to the club membership application. And we would certainly look forward to seeing you on the trails.

Thanks for reply. I would

Thanks for reply. I would love to become a member! Being new, I have no idea who the officers are. Also, attending meetings would be difficult due to distance. Are the minutes of the meetings posted on this site? Point me in the right direction and I will send my money immediately! Thanks again for the reply.

Membership

Contact the following about membership:
harmondoor@sbcglobal.net
Ask about the membership requirements and they will forward to you the necessary information.
As I mentioned in the previous post, you do not necessarily have to attend the meetings, but yoiu do have to participate in two(2) ADR functions. Right now one of the functions that is going on is our annual after the enduro arrow pulling frenzy. It is the requirment of the landowners that we pull the arrows each year after the enduro we have in June. If you want to contact someone on the website about meeting up with them about doing that, that would count toward your two(2) functions.
I look forward to meeting you and your son and have a great 4th.

Hope you guys had a good ride

Luv2,
Sorry we all got heat-wussed before y'all made it. That's a great kid and he seemed ready to ride! I hope you found enough trail to get your fix. We'll catch up with you later and show you around better.

Great Day!

Glad we got to meet you. We stayed until 4pm. It's amazing how 8 year old's never get hot while riding! He did sleep most of the way home. I would like to meet up with you guys. Let us know the next time you guys will be there. Later.
