But I hear good things about the course. I know Jim would love it because it has his favorite type of dirt (sand). Here is a discription of the course.
The course will be mostly woods, half single track and half easy passing. The single track is broken up in sections that have passing areas tying them together. There is a grass track and some sand down by the river. I don't think the river will fall enough to take advantage of the sandbar.
The dirt in the woods is awesome. Most of the woods is second-third gear, or will be when it berms up a little better. There is one section down near the river where the dirt and sand meet that flows through some cedars and pines that most will really like. There are no hill climbs but we will run up an down the levee and the river bank ( if it is not up too high ). I think it will be a fun course for everyone. We have had alot of rain the last couple of weeks and the property drains very well. It is very muddy where the owners want it to be muddy, but the course should have very little mud. There is plenty of parking (most of it is actually pretty level).
The Whiteheads are really good people and they are looking forward to the race. They have never seen a harescramble. I know our guys will put on one heck of a show for them.
someone say something about sand??? Not only no, but no sand no! Ask S.P. about sand this past weekend. One of the best places he has ever ridden --- NOT! ! !
People just don't understand how great the place we have to ride really is and how fortunate we really are to have such a place to ride.
LOSER
SAND LOSER to you big boy!!!
you know you will like it if you give it a chance
Obviouly you dont' much about my "racing" career. I have ridden in Miss sand, Okla sand, Missouri sand, Texass sand, CO sand and the ever popular Kansass sand! All are different in some aspect, but all still remain the same -- they are SAND! And I hate sand!! OKla sand is through the woods and tainted with whoops, Miss sand is up and dwn and down a railroad track, Texass sand is just plain worn out dirt, Missouri sand is sand until it gets wet, Colo sand is the best sand as there just ain't much of it until you ride through it, and Kansas sand is mixed with red and black crap when it rains makes for sandpaper! I hate sand, dude. All sorts and types. I can ride rocks like a lot of dudes ride the sand. I prayed for rocks when we'd go to OK City or Munster. Just don't like, don't want to like it and will stay clear of it whenever I can. Oh, and if you like, that's alright as someone has to get that crap everywhere in your duds, in your bike and in your car! I hate sand about as bad as I hate the heat... enough said about that.
But you ride in the heat
