February Minutes 2010

ADR Club Meeting Minutes – 2/2/10

President Sid Snyder opened the meeting at 7:00pm with 21 members and 1 guest (Ben Points). James Belk (Treasurer) reported on the club finances and issued checks for the Trailmasters. No outstanding bills were presented. Lynn Burton (Secretary) reported that the previous minutes were posted on the ADR website. Bob Diffee deferred any comments for the Hare Scrambles.

Ride Reports
James Belk reported on a snowmobile ride he and his brother took in Wisconsin. Lots of cold miles until his sled “cold seized”.

Event Reports
2010 Hare Scrambles – Bob Diffee thanked the club for all the work in the rain on the Hare Scramble Workday. The course is approximately 7 miles and complete as of now. There is a dog problem across the road in the section that Jim and Chris laid out. Blue and white arrows will be used for the event. Another work weekend is scheduled for February 27th for arrowing and final prep. A gate fee of $5 per person was established and the club will man this to get releases signed. A vendor is still needed to provide food.
2010 ISDT Warmup #1 (Vintage Warmup) – Lynn Burton reported that the Special Use Permit has been approved by the Forest Service and work on one Special Test has been done. A second special test (Bear Waller Loop) was deemed to be too fast and rough for the event and another Special Test will be found. A work weekend is scheduled for February 13th and all Special Test need preparation so many hands are required.
2010 Train Robbers Enduro – Jim Holub reported that a new section will be in place on “Big Nasty” as well as other sections. Members are needed for section assignments to reduce the amount of work needed.

Old Business
Bruce Yother was awarded a Plaque recognizing his work as ADR President for the past two years.

New Business
A club ride was discussed but felt that with three events coming up in the spring that any free weekends must be dedicated to these. A “ Maintenance Award” was given permanently to Lynn (unjustly so!!!!).

Meeting was closed at 8:10pm
