Good time to treat your damper to a rebuild, fresh oil makes the old Scotts feel like new again. Scotts recommends once a year and just like your suspension the oil breaks down from use.
$25 includes disassembly, cleaning, inspection of all parts and fresh oil. Parts extra. Normally 1-2 day turnaround

Lloyd, do you service GPR as well. I just sent mine in a few weeks ago. I had taken it apart myself to stop a leaky lower stem o-ring. Got it apart and didnt' have the right one, so I had to send it to California :(

If you do, I'll be sure and send it to you next time!

I can do them but GPR will not sell parts. That way they force you to send it to them. Most of the time they do the repair for free but the turnaround time is the problem. I can do the oil change in them, you adjust their stiffness with the weight of oil. They come with a 7.5-10 weight oil, a lighter oil works better for the woods. They tell you about this on their website.
Thats the nice thing about Scotts, you can purchase every part from them.

ya, the turnaround was the timely part, the costly part was shipping it to CA and back. :(

Lloyd - I don't suppose you have the nut that holds the link onto the bottom of the damper do you? Apparently mine fell off while riding at Cave Hill last Sunday.

Lloyd could you send me an e-mail to wolvesmo@iland.net with your contact info? I'm located in Camden and don't have access to the members info.

Thanks,
